Blackdown Mendip Riding Club

Welcome to the Blackdown Mendip Riding Club.

We are one of the largest Riding Clubs in the southwest, with a catchment area from the suburbs of south Bristol, over the Mendips to the Somerset Levels towards Axbridge and Wedmore. We are part of the British Riding Club’s Area 12.

Our enthusiastic, volunteer committee organize several events throughout the year, from regular jumping and flatwork lessons, weekend camps – which offer a chance to stay away with your horse, to be fed and watered and also receive intensive riding instruction, and members days – a summer series of low-key competitions, which are an ideal place to meet fellow Club members and gain confidence in a competition environment. Members Day results are run as a league and the winner of both the Senior and Junior league will be presented with a Busby Trophy at the AGM each autumn. Day rallies escorted hacks and occasional social events to complete the program.

In the past, we have also organized a winter dressage league and held a summer show and the committee is always open to suggestions from the members. If you would like to contact us please email info@blackdownmendiprc.co.uk
