Description
Ridden Arab Group Wales (RAGW) was formed in 2005 to encourage Arab riders to compete in as wide a range of competitions as possible to bring it back to public admiration.
The RAGW organises two shows each year for Purebred and Part-bred Arabs. Riders are encouraged to compete in all classes, dressage, ridden showing, show jumping, handy Arab (which is a form of Trec obstacles) and family Arab. Also there are Sports horse in-hand classes for potential riding horses.
There are training sessions and rallies throughout the year as well as winter get together evenings and social events for members to throw ideas about concerning the Arab horse! The group runs a Points Scheme throughout the year. Points are gained from any show, rally or organised event ridden or in-hand.
Every member collects points on their card which is totalled at the end of the year with prizes, trophies and rosettes being awarded for each discipline and also for the overall winner for both Purebred and Part-bred Arabs
