Lewis and Harris Riding Club

The Lewis and Harris Riding Club was founded in 1986 by a couple of like-minded horse owners.

They hoped to get horses and riders together to take part in events and outings.

Over the years, the club has steadily grown and we now have nearly 50 members.

Access to a new purpose-built indoor school at Lochside Arena has enabled us to organize shows, dressage leagues, showjumping leagues and weekly club nights (Tuesdays from 7 pm) all year round without the worry of weather conditions.

Instructors regularly visit or are invited over to give lessons, demonstrations, and camps. We try to provide something for everyone. We are an extremely friendly, supportive club of mixed riding abilities and are always delighted to welcome new members along.
