Description
As a member of the British Riding Club (Area 9) we aim to reach all types of horses and riders, from dedicated competitors to the happy hacker. We offer a whole range of support and encouragement for riders, including local and national competitions, training and social events.
Kennet Vale Riding Club (KVRC) is based in North Wiltshire and is affiliated to the BHS British Riding Club. We have training and competitions throughout the area, from Chippenham and Calne to Westbury and Badminton. We aim to try and provide a variety of activities including camps, dressage, and regular training, both at riding club level and at local events. Most of our competitions and training sessions are open to both members and non-members.
The committee is made up of members who volunteer their time for free to the club. They meet up roughly once a month.
In October 2011 Kennet Vale Riding Club moved into a new area created by British Riding Clubs. The introduction of Area 9 came about due to a large number of clubs in Area 12, and many that are based in the Wiltshire/ Gloucestershire area which has to travel large distances to compete at their area qualifiers. Area 9 currently consists of 10 clubs including KVRC.
