Description
Driver Training was created to enable you to learn about towing trailers, initially horse trailers but also other types of trailer. The training will enable you to not only pass a B+E test (which is needed if you passed your driving test after January 1997) but also to feel confident when transporting your own horse or pony, along with acquiring the legislation and knowledge that is associated with it.
I am a qualified Grade A ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) and although it is not mandatory for me to be a qualified instructor I feel that the knowledge I have gained whilst training to be an ADI will greatly benefit my customers, I also hold a C+E (Class 1) HGV licence. I have owned horses for over 30 years and ran a successful Horse Transport business, transporting all types of horses and ponies across the country.
Customers who learn with Driver Training will benefit from being able to do all their training in a comfortable modern car with all mod cons (heated seat, air con etc!) whilst towing an Ifor Williams 510 trailer which will replicate a vehicle of similar size if they are transporting horses. This vehicle and trailer will also be available for carrying out the required test. Testing in your own vehicle will require your vehicle and trailer to meet all criteria required by DVSA.
