Hill Farm Equestrian Centre is one of Suffolk’s leading riding schools. It was established in 2002 by Megan Ayton–Andrews. Megan has successfully achieved her vision of running a highly professional training establishment that is also a friendly, family-centred yard.
Our riding lessons are taught by British Horse Society qualified instructors on well mannered, sensible horses and ponies. The school has 15 horses and ponies available, each having its own individual strengths that give our clients a variety of personalities and challenges whilst learning to ride. The horses and ponies are regularly schooled by the instructors in order to keep them in top condition and also so that the instructor understands each horse’s personality thoroughly. This helps them to get the best out of the rider during the lessons.
Hill Farm is a small establishment, with a 20×40 outdoor arena, heated classroom, and only 15 stables/stalls set in a 1900s brick-built, gated yard. This means that you and your children will be guaranteed a very friendly and personal welcome.
Our main clientele at Hill Farm are children aged 4-16 years, as you will see from our website we run lots of activities. Because we have a small team we find that even the shyest of children are joining in all activities within no time at all. We can also provide adult lessons within restricted times, please look at our timetable to see when or give us a call.
Hill Farm is an approved British Horse Society (BHS) Equestrian Centre and Pony Club Training Centre with education and practical training in pony care, a key part of our activities.
