Bideford Riding Club

We are a very friendly Club with about 80 members. Ages and experience vary greatly but we share a common passion. The Club is affiliated to the British Horse Society through British Riding Clubs and we belong to Area 19. We organize several events for individuals and teams including dressage, show jumping, and cross country. We enter teams throughout the year in various local events and for Area 19 Qualifiers. We organize our own training and schooling with experienced instructors at various equestrian venues. We also organize various social events to include fun things like skittles, pamper evenings and talks from experts. Our members have had various successes over the years with the most recent being a junior member qualifying and attending Hickstead after being very successful at the County Shows with her show pony and a senior member attending the Dressage Championships of Great Britain after qualifying at novice level earlier in the year. We hold our AGM in November every year when we give our members a chance to take up an active role on the Committee or to simply come along and enjoy a free meal and enjoy a chat with fellow members.
